Enjoying many a summer holiday in Tomakin, Chris and Debbie had a sneaking suspicion they may one day call the area home. They still make the trip back to Canberra once a fortnight or so, but what they really love about their new home is being part of a friendly, welcoming community.

Neighbourly exchanges are welcome here, and casual catch ups and drop ins come with the territory. ‘How are you?’ isn’t just a casual greeting, people genuinely want to know the answer.
